COVID-19 responsibility protocol

Eco-citizenship pledge

Safeguarding the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health of all our team members, clients, partners, and counterparts has become a non-negotiable prerequisite for to honor our safe workplace pledge. At the Zovighian Partnership, we believe that self-preservation is key to have the lung-capacity to empower and capacity-build the friends, citizens, and communities we wish to serve. In this COVID-19 chapter of our lives, self-protection is not only a personal priority, but also a measure of social accountability to protect ourselves, loved ones, and society at large.

We pledge to be well-informed, alert, proactive, and responsible citizens. We further pledge to serve in our own private and public capacities to both counter COVID-19 and play a positive role in our global journey towards a new normal. We promise to always embrace and apply all the required preventive and responsive safety measures which we succeeded in fulfilling since day one.

As a family business, embracing and showcasing agility, resilience, and proactivity are primordial in our daily lives. These assets become imperative in our collective battle against COVID-19. The ZP office closed after the first week of March 2020, and we have adopted a highly effective and nurturing work-from-home policy for all our team members. We found this preemptive step to be necessary to safeguard ourselves and the ones we love, adopting this policy as our new corporate lifestyle. This policy was enforced almost one month before any government-led national mobilization protocols. We will continue to do so until we are confident and reassured by the situation in Lebanon to return back to a new normal office life.

On very few occasions that demanded strong internet and team physical presence, our offices opened for select essential team members. When in-person team meetings are required, we are honoring and taking all measures of social distancing, wearing masks and maintaining proper hygiene to make sure we are mitigating any unnecessary risk. All travel has been discontinued, with special permissions for absolutely essential travel only, to ensure no team member is put at risk. We believe that the only way to triumph the battle against COVID-19 is to be the responsible and disciplined citizens that our Lebanon and world deserve.

At ZP, we do not just view COVID-19 as a health threat that is further fueling a national economic meltdown in Lebanon. We perceive this global pandemic as a strong and sudden reminder to cherish and preserve the humanity that we all often take for granted, such as our families, our social lives, our community, and even our personal health and well-being. It is a call-to-action and an opportunity to fill the unnoticed gaps of our daily lives and fix the overlooked cracks in our human existence and social systems. Only by learning new human habits now can we ensure that the next time a contagion like COVID-19 happens, we can overcome it with true agility, robustness, and resiliency.

Our corporate policies are co-created by our team members, all of whom are well-informed, trained and capacity-built to foster and uphold all aspects of our commitments to and for one another. Our corporate governance is deeply aligned with the mandates of the United Nations Global Goals / Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the United Nations Global Compact.
